What is PolyTrans?
The PolyTrans translation system | CAD + DCC is a worldwide industry standard for missions and critical production 3D CAD / DCC + VR / AR + Animation / Translation of models, optimization, reduction and visualization.
CAD conversions and CAD data reset through PolyTrans | CAD
CAD conversion has always been an essential aspect of software development. With great focus on conversion (and optional reduction/optimization) of huge and complex 3D CAD file formats for all major non-CAD down-stream file formats and 3D packages. Converters simply work, work very well, and do not cause bottlenecks in the largest data set. CAD modules cover all the most popular and required formats and are designed to handle the largest of large assemblies. CAD modules are always kept fully up to date.
Highly refined conversions between all major animation/DCC packages
Okino Computer Graphics can be better understood as two distinct sub-companies: one specialized in cad market, CAD products and users and another specialized in the markets and users of animation / DCC (Design-Content-Creation). Industry standard converters are provided for these distinct markets, although often overlapping.
Having been prominent in the DCC market over the past 25 years as the leading provider of data conversion pipelines that securely connects all major 3D animation packages and DCC file formats. PolyTrans is being used by all major production companies that regularly use 3ds Max, Maya, Cinema-4D, LightWave, Blender, Unity and Unreal Engine and related common file formats such as Collada, DirectX, DWF-3D, FBX, NGRAIN, OpenFlight, SketchUp, U3D (3D PDF), VRML and many others.
Top Reasons to Use PolyTrans
- Excellent and complete support for the most popular MCAD/CAD and DCC/Animation 3D file formats, including the most technically accurate and robust bidirectional conversion system between 3ds Max and Maya.
- Great focus on engineering research and development with a primary focus on converting large 3D files. Software is best understood as a "springboard", allowing very large source files to be imported and reduced so that smaller target programs can import the final optimized dataset. This is one of the most important aspects of Okino software, but little known to uninitiated users. There is no other similar software known on the market that can perform "trampoline" conversions, as okino software is known to provide.
- Data translation is a very critical business for which professional production customers require seamless conversions. The software incorporates hundreds of man-years of development and more than 3 decades of customer use, testing and enhancement, which has made PolyTrans the leading conversion system used throughout the 3D software industry.
- Okino does not use reverse engineering CAD modules, as is done by others, but licenses, uses and/or accesses autodesk's industry standard CAD geometry mechanisms, Dassault Systemes (CATIA), PTC (Pro/E&Creo), Solid Edge, SolidWorks, Siemens (JT Open toolkit) and others. This is a little understood and/or easily forgotten aspect of those who purchase conversion software. The next time you look at other programs, ask developers where they license their reverse engineering CAD modules (most of these companies license their conversion technology from France, Russia or India, but trade as their own).
- PolyTrans attacks and overcomes all the most difficult translation problems.
- Handles all geometry shapes, including NURBS (and trim curves), crack-free handling of BREP solids, meshes with holes and all attributes, NURBS curves, all varieties of striated curves and polylines. Accessible to OEM volume vendors and plug-in developers.
- Developed by some of the most experienced CAD and animation developers. From the bit level of each file format to the top-level policy and common daily usage patterns of most customers.
System Requirements
- Windows 10, 8, 7 x64(64-bit)
- You'll need to have 'Administrator' rights during installation (or, better yet, right-click the installer and choose 'Run as administrator'). You do not necessarily need administrator rights to run the software.
- Preferably 16 GB of memory. 32 GB is more than enough for 99% of all CAD conversions.
- For Mac OS X, any good Microsoft Windows emulator.
