POLYWALL ARCHITECTURE

Polywall Designer is a web application that can be used on any computer connected to the same network as Polywall Server.

Polywall Server has a special API to communicate with array switchers. It is necessary to use the Crestron/AMX controller as a gateway to the matrix switching equipment. However, the installer can create its own hardware gateway implementation since the Polywall Server API is open.

One of the simplest deployment options is to install all Polywall software modules on a standalone video wall controller. This driver should run Windows and have compatible graphics cards installed. For video walls of up to 6 monitors, AMD Eyefinity or Nvidia cards are a good option. However, for larger video walls, specialized graphics cards are recommended, such as Datapath or Matrox. Polywall software can be installed on the existing operating system or preloaded along with the Windows Embedded image. The second option is preferable for independent video wall controller manufacturers. Therefore, in this case, the only hardware required for the project is a Windows-based video wall controller and monitors.
