What is PROXY Air ?
PROXY Air, a leading provider of local remote desktop software for helpdesks and IT administrators, has announced the availability of PROXY Air, a new hosted remote desktop platform as a service. For those looking to move away from on-site remote desktop software tools or have no means of hosting, Proxy Networks offers a service designed for real-time support sessions along with a premium variant that adds clustering, user management features, screen recording and playback, and more.
Standard features and capabilities with PROXY Air and PROXY Air Dedicated:
- Take control of the Windows or Mac assisted keyboard and mouse from any platform through a temporary client.
- Transfer individual files or entire directories from one machine to another (PC and Mac).
- Toggle which monitor will be focused on in the connection window; Select Primary, Secondary, or Show All Monitors.
- View the diagnostic information for the Host PC. Start/Stop/Restart services, eliminate processes, edit registry values, view Event Viewer logs and more – transparently behind the scenes.
- Initiate connections to one or multiple machines while consuming a single license in individual windows or browser tabs.
- All connections use TLS v1.2 on port 443 with AES-256 cipher.
- Connections and file transfer events are written to Windows Event Viewer as evidence of connection history.
Standard features and capabilities exclusively with PROXY Air Dedicated:
- Take control of the keyboard and mouse of Windows machines with or without supervision through the temporary, installed client.
- Ability to install Host that functions as a service, is always on and reporting to your tenant.
- Create host groups based on business or geographic location and define privileged access management policies to enforce who has access to what.
- Start recordings with or without a connection, record desktop activity for training videos, or set auto-recording policies that record a particular user or group throughout the day.
- Authentication through Microsoft accounts enables multi-factor authentication. Those with their own Azure AD can use it or new users can create a free account.
- The centralized audit log securely stores logs of all remote access activity. Report who accessed what and when, for how long, and more.
- Dashboard for administrators displaying the identities of each logged-on user along with the Host machine(s) with active connections, screen recordings in progress, and more.
