Step-by-step instructions for Windows

Review the transactions before the conversion, check that the dates are correct, that the year is correct, that the deposits and withdrawals are in the correct places.

Select the QFX destination to match your version of Quicken or your accounting software: regular QFX, Quicken 2018+, Quicken 2017, Quicken 2016, Quicken 2015, YNAB.

Set INTU. IDB to match your bank or keep the default value. INTU. IDB sets the bank label shown during import. It has to be from the allowed bank. You can try to locate your bank. Make sure the bank you choose is compatible with the type of account you're converting to. You should leave it blank if your bank is not listed, so the standard Wells Fargo Bank Label (3000) will be used.

Set the account ID (number) and Account Type to create QFX for the correct account. For multiple accounts, use a different account ID for each account.

The currency must be USD, even for non-USD accounts, for the Quicken US edition. For the Canadian edition, you can use USD and CAD. And for the UK edition, the GBP currency must be set. You can also set Final Balance, Bank ID, Branch ID, if your accounting software requires it.

Click the 'Convert' button to create a QFX file.

Confirm the name and location of the file.

Import QFX file created into Quicken

Now that the QFX file has been created, switch to Quicken and import the created QFX file. Before importing a QFX file, back up the data file and verify that the account is not connected to the online services. Right-click - 'Edit/Delete Account'.

Then click on 'Online Services' and click on the 'Disable' button. Then click 'Yes' and 'Ok'.

To import a QFX file, select 'File' - 'Import File' - 'Web Connect File (. QFX)', select the QFX file you created.

You can select 'Create a new account' or 'Link to an existing account to import transactions'. If you are disconnected from online services, this account will be shown in the list. You can choose to keep online services connected and import to a new account if you have something temporary to import. You can import into that account and then move transactions from that account to another account. This way, you'll keep your existing account connected to online services and won't have to connect it again later.

Then click the 'Import' button.

Then click the 'Close' button.

Now your data is imported. You can accept all transactions.
