What is ReadyAPI?

The API quality platform for DevOps and agile testing

The ReadyAPI platform accelerates functional, security, and load testing of RESTful, SOAP, GraphQL, and other web services directly within the CI/CD pipeline.

Ensure end-to-end quality for all your web services.

Four powerful tools. An intuitive platform.

ReadyAPI enables teams to create, manage, and run automated functional, security, and performance tests in a centralized interface - accelerating API quality for Agile and DevOps software teams. Teams can start by importing API definitions, such as Swagger (OAS) or WSDLs, testing and recording live API traffic, or virtualizing Web services to remove pipeline dependencies.

  • API functional testing

Create comprehensive, data-driven functional API tests without the hassle of maintaining scripts.

  • API performance test

Generate load, stress, and peak tests to validate that your API can handle actual traffic conditions.

  • API security test

Protect your vulnerable APIs from XSS, malformed XML, SQL injections, and more with each deployment

  • WEB API and virtualization

Remove dependencies in your test pipeline by virtualizing RESTful, SOAP, TCP, JMS, and other web services.

Instantly validate your entire API in just one click

ReadyAPI's new Smart Assertion feature automatically creates validation and assertion points in your API. And it gets even smarter over time, intelligently recognizing dynamic values that change and adjust the claims.

  • Create mass serations against hundreds of terminals in just a few seconds
  • Increase test coverage with baseline validations in almost everything in your API

Reuse tests for performance and safety testing

ReadyAPI allows you to create complex functional, security, and end-to-end performance tests with the ease of an intuitive interface and the flexibility of an IDE.

  • Import API definitions, such as OpenAPI specification or WSDLs
  • Beat RESTful and SOAP endpoints to test the response
  • Automatically detect APIs that record live traffic from real scenarios

Flexible automation options for integrating API testing into your CI/CD pipelines during each build

Whether you're using static building servers or dynamic cloud-based platforms, ReadyAPI has a full range of integrations in automated environments of any kind.

  • Native support for Git, Docker, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, TeamCity, and more.
  • Command line support for automated test configuration on fixed machines
  • TestEngine speeds automation tasks to the next level, with support for parallel functional testing, task queuing, support for dynamic environments, and more!

Centralize and accelerate your API test run with TestEngine

TestEngine is a test corridor optimized to automate soapui and readyapi tests on a large scale.

  • Run your tests in parallel without manipulating the infrastructure
  • Avoid execution bottlenecks with the task queuing service
  • Integrates into any environment

Stream real-world data throughout your test

Using realistic and dynamic data in your API tests is critical to covering threshold conditions, positive/negative testing, and real simulation of the way your consumers interact with your APIs in the real world.

  • Import data from external files or databases
  • Create synthetic data such as addresses and phone numbers
  • Share datasets in functional, load, and security tests

Comprehensive reports and analysis

ReadyAPI not only has a built-in insightful dashboard for fast, up-to-date test metrics, but also generates JUnit, HTML, CSV, or other customizable reporting formats.

  • Create JUnit-style HTML reports for an overview of your tests in easy-to-read HTML format
  • Export reports to store your test data in XML and CSV formats
  • Share reports on functional, load, and security tests with the team
