The program is divided into two modules (client and server) that connect between computers. You can install both or only one of the modules.

Connecting
To connect to another computer, you must install the program on both machines. It is worth remembering that the machine that will connect needs to have only the client (Viewer) installed, and the machine that will be connected only needs the server (Server). It is recommended that you have installed both modules on both computers.
Using it is easy
You must configure the server. Run VNC Server and, in the "Authentication" tab, click the "Configure" button (choose a password and confirm).
On the client machine, open VNC Viewer and enter the IP address or name of the machine you want to connect to. After entering the password, one window opens and from there you have full control over the other machine.
