What is Revo Uninstaller Pro?

The Uninstaller module is the main feature of Revo Uninstaller Pro for situations where a program does not uninstall normally or when you have doubts that a program has not been completely uninstalled.

Also, when a program is uninstalled, there are often multiple files, folders and/or registry entries left on your system, which can cause several problems if not removed. This happens more often than you think.

Revo Uninstaller Pro acts as a replacement and add-in to the integrated functionality of Windows, first running the integrated uninstaller for the program and then scanning the remaining data, making it your best choice when it comes to completely removing stubborn programs, temporary files and other unnecessary program data that is left behind after the default uninstall process. To ensure complete removal of any remaining unnecessary data, Revo Uninstaller Pro employs advanced scanning algorithms that have been adjusted for more than 12 years.

Forced Uninstall

Revo Uninstaller Pro also comes with a very powerful feature called Forced Uninstall. This feature allows you to run manual checks of leftovers, which can be very useful when the built-in uninstaller of a program is not working properly, when the program you want to uninstall is not listed in Revo Uninstaller Pro or Windows Programs and Resource Applet, or when you want to search for leftovers from a program that you have previously removed , without the help of Revo Uninstaller Pro. Forced uninstall empowering the user, but still maintains the security and accuracy of the results. It is very useful when the installation is corrupted and cannot continue. It is the best solution when you need to remove partially installed programs, partially uninstalled programs, and programs that are not listed as installed.

Forced uninstall also works in conjunction with one of the other features of Revo Uninstaller Pro - record database - to find the best way to remove the program completely and cleanly and its possible remaining data.

Quick/multiple uninstall

For situations where time is an important factor or you simply want to automate the uninstall process a bit, even though you are able to uninstall some programs on a line, Revo Uninstaller Pro offers a quick/multiple uninstall command. In this mode, Revo Uninstaller Pro still performs the program's built-in uninstaller as usual, after which Revo Uninstaller Pro automatically performs a scan of leftovers and deletes everything it finds without notifying the user, before moving to the built-in uninstaller of the next program in the queue, if any. This allows you to remove multiple programs in a quick succession, having to deal only with their built-in uninstallers.

Real-time installation monitor

Revo Uninstaller Pro has a feature that allows you to monitor the installation of a program. It gives you even more power and flexibility, allowing you to accurately track and track changes made to your system during program installation, and the process is done in real time - simultaneously with regular installation and writes all data to a log.

This technology is unique among the rest of the uninstallers. That's why it offers the easiest and fastest way to monitor installations, so that when the program is no longer needed, system changes made during the installation of the monitored program can be fully reversed as if the program had never been installed before. It is so easy to use that it requires only 3 mouse clicks to perform the whole process. And that's not all. These logs can be exported and imported, allowing you to create a log to assist a family member or friend in removing a stubborn program, or vice versa, and simply creating trace logs for your personal use.

Windows Apps

Unlike classic programs, removing Windows apps (integrated or installed from the Microsoft Store) can be more confusing and complicated unless you have Revo Uninstaller Pro. It streamlines the process, making it much more direct and easy by providing a list of all installed applications, which you can also filter using the search feature, allowing you to uninstall them in the same way as normal programs, including a remaining scan. You can uninstall the built-in apps preinstalled with Windows and apps downloaded from the Microsoft Store.

Browser extensions

Records database

This feature is based on and derived from revo Uninstaller Pro's own real-time monitor, making it also unique in the market. The log database is a large collection of logs from many different programs that the team creates and maintains using the previously mentioned real-time monitor feature. These logs are stored on our server, which means you can access them whenever you need to, even if you have just installed Revo Uninstaller Pro and have not yet tracked any program installation. You can easily uninstall programs or remove leftovers from programs already uninstalled, taking advantage of the possibility of a better and complete uninstall using the logs from the log database.

Manage installation records

You can not only create log files by tracking program installations, but you also have full control over them: you can export and import them, and you can edit their properties and content. The Edit command allows you to see all changes tracked in the file system and registry.

Import/export functionality can be used as a way to back up all records you have created or to allow you to transfer them to another Revo Uninstaller Pro installation, which may be yours (on another computer, for example), or it can be a family member or friend if they need help removing a program.

Trace logs are highly customizable and, if you are an advanced user, you can also edit them in more detail by changing and/or deleting any registry entry and file/folder that Revo Uninstaller Pro has written to the trace log file.

Multilevel backup system

Even though Revo Uninstaller Pro's scanning algorithms have been developed, optimized, and adjusted for years to be as complete as possible, while being reliable and secure, such as a security network, Revo Uninstaller Pro tries to cover all bases when it comes to making potentially important data backups, whether system-related or private files created by you , the user.

By default, Revo Uninstaller Pro creates a System Restore Point and a full registry backup before each uninstall, and no remaining data is permanently deleted: the remaining files are deleted from the Recycle Bin (behavior can be changed in the Options), and the remaining registry entries are automatically copied before deletion.

Any registry leftovers (and files, if you changed the way Revo Uninstaller Pro deletes leftover files) will be listed in backup manager for easy access and management.

There is also an option to allow Revo Uninstaller Pro to create a full backup of the registry once a day the first time it starts.

Hunter Mode

Hunter Mode is an innovative feature that allows you to more flexibly select the program to be uninstalled or managed. When you turn on Hunter Mode, the main Revo Uninstaller Pro window will disappear and a new crosshair icon will appear instead. Just drag and drop this icon over the open window, system tray icon, or desktop icon of the program you want to control, and Revo Uninstaller Pro will display all available options in a convenient menu. This can be very useful because many programs are loaded at startup and/or remain in the system tray without your consent, or you don't even know what the program is.

Hunter Mode can be useful when you want to uninstall an unknown program (or at least disable its automatic startup on Windows), which you don't find listed anywhere, but can see its window or icon.
