What problem does Rustici Cross Domain solve?

If your training content is fully integrated into your platform and not easy to package for third-party use, delivering self-contained SCORM, AICC, xAPI, and cmi5 files to this LMS is a difficult, if not impossible, task. RXD addresses this problem by helping you deliver your training content to your customers' LMSs in the format they require, while keeping track of the student's overall content and experience.

How does it work?

RXD allows you to create proxy files - SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004 3rd Edition, AICC, xAPI (formerly Tin Can) and cmi5 packages - of your content that your client uploads to your LMS. From the customer's perspective, this package is similar to any other course - the course registration and the posting process are the same.

When a student starts the proxy file in the LMS, they are directed back to their servers to access the content. As soon as the student leaves the course or completes another action specified by its developers, Rustici Cross Domain sends important information to the LMS, including completion, score, time, and approval/disapproval.

Because content assets remain on your servers, you keep track of all course functionality, reports, and features. This means you can save important course data (including Completion, Score, Time and Pass/Fail) and student data (including Student Name and Student ID) for your own reporting needs, as well as send it to your client's LMS.
