What is scSTREAM?

scSTREAM is a general purpose thermal fluid analysis software that uses the pressurized finite volume method and mainly structured mesh coordinates (cartesian or cylindrical) that also uses Cutcell and tetra elements.

Due to the nature of the mesh structure, scSTREAM has excellent mesh speed and compute speed. It is widely used in electronics, architectures and construction industries.

Key features and benefits

Modelling

scSTREAM can dramatically reduce modeling time by importing the Solid model from 3D CAD, the SHAPE file of the GIS, IDF, and Gerber data from ECAD. scSTREAM can also create a part using convenient templates and primitives, such as anemostat models, fan models, duct models, heatsink primitives, and so on. You can also create your own parts library by recording the assembly of these parts along with information about material properties, heat generation information, and so on.

Multi-Block Modeling and Mesh, Cutcell, Finite Elements

With the Multi-block method, which allows local refinement using Cartesian mesh, memory consumption and compute time can be reduced by applying finer mesh to a specific part or location. Fine cell and cutting modeling using tetra or hexahedron elements can also be used where curvature needs to be captured more accurately. The mesh can be made automatically according to some specified parameters and its mesh speed is excellent. It usually takes a few seconds to create 1 million mesh.

Easy configuration of analysis conditions

Wizard-guided configuration allows ease of use without any confusion and avoids omissions in data entry.

High computing speed with low memory consumption

Using a structured mesh, scSTREAM can deliver excellent performance in compute speed and robustness. scSTREAM can solve a mesh model of 5 to 6 million using 2 GB of RAM.
