What is SecureDoc File Encryption (SFE)?

SecureDoc File Encryption (SFE) is an essential component of WinMagic's SecureDoc data security software. SecureDoc FE allows users and administrators to encrypt specific files and folders on a device or network.

Advantages of encrypting files and folders

SecureDoc FE uses the same 256-bit AES encryption used for full disk encryption on a computer. Although full-disk encryption solutions encrypt the entire hard disk, FE is an application where users can manually encrypt individual files and folders that they want to protect. It provides an additional layer of security in addition to full disk encryption.

SecureDoc (FE) is an essential security extension of SecureDoc Enterprise Server - encryption software that puts all security-related management on a centralized enterprise server, including policies, password rules, and encryption management capability on the PC (Windows XP SP3, Windows 2003, Windows Vista Platforms, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 2012 R2,  Windows 10), Mac and Linux.
