What is Solis I Software?

Solis I Software contains a comprehensive list of edge detection algorithms, including the first derivative (Sobel, Kirsch, Prewitt and Robinson), second derivative and the Roberts Cross-edge detector. Smoothing filters include the Mean, Median and Gaussian filters, while in the Solis frequency space includes Low Pass and High Pass filtering.

Solis I Software provides the user with full control over the camera, including pixel read rate, horizontal and vertical binning, exposure time, preamplifier configuration, electron multiplication gain (EMCCD-compliant systems), and various trigger options.

The region of interest (ROI) feature of the software allows the user to record real-time quantities such as the maximum, mean, and standard deviation as a kinetic series of images is acquired.

Features of Solis I Software

  • Real-time image display (video mode), ideal for aligning experiments.
  • Advanced data transfer directly to the hard drive, allowing the acquisition of large data sets.
  • Increase your signal above the read noise level with RealGain control (EMCCD-compliant systems only).
  • Minimize vibrations with the "Silent Fan" operation.
  • Recording and reproduction of the kinetic series.
  • ROI analysis through simple series generation of kinetic graphs, using ROI statistics.
  • Multiple real-time display and playback options, including 3D profile.
  • Comprehensive image analysis operations.
  • Extensive export options including FITS, TIF, BMP and AVI.
  • AndorBasic extended programming language.
  • Segmentation of the X and Y line profile in real time.
  • Simple selection and sizing of multiple regions of interest (ROI).
  • ROI "hot spot" selection for background pixel discrimination within ROI.
  • Intuitive and comprehensive user-defined limit and auto-scaling.
  • Data histogram that enables easy image display data scaling.

System Requirements:

Solis I is available as a 32-bit and fully 64-bit-enabled application for Windows (XP, Vista, 7, and 8), offering rich functionality for data acquisition and processing.
