Versioning your schemas and static data

Store and share any Oracle database object and static data. Confirmation and update take two clicks in Object Explorer.

To see what's new, you can check for changes to individual rows of data, with changed records highlighted.

Share your changes with one click

Source Control for Oracle verifies your changes in version control for you—so you don't have to rely on manual scripts and source control processes. You can compare the changes in the source control and see the differences highlighted. When you're ready, just type a message and click Check in.

Record each database check

The History tab shows you all the changes, so you can easily track which objects were changed, who recorded them, and when. Each object can be compared before and after check-in with the difference viewer. If something went wrong with your last change, the difference viewer makes it easier to identify and correct.

Works together with your IDE

Source Control for Oracle works independently of your publisher, so whether you use SQL Developer or PL/SQL Developer, you don't have to change the way you work in the database. Minimized, the tool keeps the team up to date through notifications on the taskbar as you work.

Lock objects

If your team works on a shared development database, you can lock objects while you work on them. If someone tries to edit an object, the server returns an error message. Comments can be added when locking objects to aid communication between the team.
