What is Spider?

The Spider product can expand the scope of the searchable database beyond local data for web-based remote content.

The following are some key features of this product:

Terabyte Indexer

dtSearch Desktop and Network index more than one terabyte of text into a single index, covering multiple directories, emails and attachments, online data, and other databases. They can create and search any number of indexes. Indexed search time is usually less than one second, even between terabytes of data.

Business research

Provides efficient multithreaded search, with no limit on the number of concurrent search threads. Even with many simultaneous dtSearch searches in a very large indexed database, the concurrent search time is typically less than one second.

Federated research

Provides search in any number of directories, emails (with nested attachments), and database. In addition, you can add local and remote, statistical and dynamic online content to a search. Indexing sites at any depth level is also possible, with support for public and private or secure online content, including logins and form-based authentication. Support for integrated relevance classification with highlighted hits in online and offline data repositories are also included.

Over 25 international language search and support options

It offers more than 25 types of search, including special forensic search options. For international language coverage, the product supports Unicode, including support for right-to-left languages and options for Japanese, Chinese, and Korean characters.

Online data search

Adds instant and concurrent searches of static and dynamic online data. This includes HTML5 templates for instant publishing of searchable data on an internet site or intranet, without the need for programming, and expands a site's searchable database.
