What is SpiraCapture?

SpiraCapture is a Chrome extension that helps you perform exploratory testing. The extension intelligently records and organizes your test sessions and allows you to save your recordings perfectly in SpiraTest.

Cem Kaner, who coined the term Exploratory Test, rehearsed it as "a software testing style that emphasizes the personal freedom and responsibility of the individual tester."

During this freeform and intuitive test approach, the steps and the test path are not predefined and need to be captured manually. The flow and steps of a test session are important for effective communication between testers and developers.

Capture test activities and notes

SpiraCapture will record all the tabs you want in Chrome. It tracks actions such as auto-key clicks and presses on each tab being written. During testing, you can add steps to help organize where you are in your test session. You can also add notes to remember when a specific problem happened.

Manage recordings

It's easy to see the captured test data: during the test or at the end of a session. The data is divided by the steps that you performed by the test time. Web applications can be tricky, but we designed SpiraCapture to capture data so that the developer knows exactly what was clicked or where the text was inserted.

Create bugs in SpiraTest

Each logged event can be selected and saved in SpiraTest as an incident. Sign in to SpiraTest, choose a project and incident type, and give the incident a title. All data and images you have selected are included in the incident. All you need to do and get back to the tests and let us take care of the catch!
