Since 2001, skin solutions (SUIPack / SUISkin) have been provided for Delphi / C++ Builder developers. Since 2005, the skin technique has been extended to the .NET (Winforms) platform (IrisSkin). Sunisoft Skin Solutions v2 is a complete update for all these products. Includes an updated specification for the cover description, a new SkinBuilder tool that is much easier to use for UI/skin designers, updated components for developers, and many more new skins. With it, you can design freely.
In version 2, the cover description and specification has been improved. It provides a more flexible design. For instance. version 2 supports two modes of setting the title bar for a window: 5-section mode and 3-section mode. The 3-section mode is a traditional mode supported by version 1 of skin solutions. Only scans a title bar into 3 sections: left, right, and middle. The left and right section will be painted on the left/right side of the title bar with the original size. And the middle section will be stretched (horizontal) painted between the left and right section. In version 2, the new 5-section mode supports the separation of a title bar into 5 sections: left, legend, bridge, middle, and right. The newly added legend and bridge sections are designed to show the window legend more appropriately. This means that the length of the legend section will be adjusted automatically according to the length of the legend.
Version 2 has also updated the format of the cover file. In version 1, .sui files were used as the cover files. In version 2, enhanced .ssk (Sunisoft Skin) files were used. All components that support Skin Solutions v2 use the .ssk file. The new format of the cover file has greatly decreased its size. And it supports password protection, meaning that the skin sander/designer can distribute the password-protected skins and only licensed people can use it.
