Receipt and inspection of Supply Chain Quality

Receiving and Inspection integrates the process of receiving materials from suppliers and sets inspection schedules based on supplier performance trends. Customers can create Sampling Plans and Skip Batch Profiles to help organize and plan sample quantities and define how many batches can be skipped during inspection. Each inspection calculates the sampling criteria based on the Acceptable Quality Level tables configured by the customer. Failed inspections can automatically trigger non-compliance workflows to quickly detect and resolve any supplier issues.

Supplier corrective action

There are several scenarios that can justify a Supplier Corrective Action (SCAR) – non-conforming material, lost or delayed delivery, and investigation of a customer complaint, for example. Whenever an adverse event is traced back to the supply chain, SCAR issues a corrective action that is tracked in the same way as an internal corrective action. A supplier corrective action follows the same steps as an internal corrective action: root cause analysis, corrective action plan, and verification verification via risk analysis. Any issues can be identified, corrected, and logged in the Vendor Classification for review.

Supplier evaluation
