SYNCHRON-ized Chamber Strings features 21 instruments (six first violins, six second violins, four violas, three cellos and two basses) that not only cover the entire spectrum of chamber music literature, but can also enhance any larger string orchestra, such as the 46-piece Synchron Strings I, adding more nuances, colors and a wealth of variations to its orchestral palette.
For the creation of SYNCHRON camera strings, sound editors returned to raw and unprocessed sample data from the chamber string collection I. The original recordings have been completely re-edited and remastered to obtain a modern and all-new chamber string sound that stands out in terms of aesthetics, playability and realism, and that is optimized for use along with synchron series instruments. What's more, we've added new layers of speed to the previously available legato joints, such as "strong spressive molto" variations. For more details, take a look at the Content Sample menu.
Vienna Synchronous Player
As a product of our new Synchron series, SYNCHRON-ized Chamber Strings comes with our new Vienna Synchron Player that incorporates the most powerful sample playback engine on the market, delivering unprecedented streaming performance and offering a new level of ease of use. You can play short notes, long notes with multiple attacks, legatos, scalable vibrato intensities, and note repeats intuitively just by moving one or two preconfigured controls, with a minimal need to switch joints manually. With Synchron Player's innovative algorithms, the liveliness of these small string sets unfold magically and effortlessly.
World-class acoustics
For SYNCHRON-ized Chamber Strings, our software developers have added a specifically designed convolution reverb derived from Vienna MIR Pro for Synchron Player, featuring the exceptional and unique ambisure of the 540 m² (5,813 sq.ft.) main hall of Synchron Stage Vienna. Perfectly designed reverb and positioning presets combine custom impulse responses with expertly crafted reverb settings for each set group. By adding the Synchron Stage Vienna Stage A environment to the dry samples in real time, synchron camera strings blend seamlessly with any other Synchron Series product, resulting in ready-to-produce sound "out of the box".
Compatibility with Synchron Strings I
When editing and processing raw Silent Stage recordings for use in Vienna Synchron Player, we pay the most attention to full compatibility with synchron strings I of 46 larger pieces. All joints, and especially speeds, have been meticulously balanced and adjusted for a perfect combination, making it easier to smoothly switch between different joints or move seamlessly through non-vibrato and vibrato layers. As a result, you can merge both string libraries or instantly change a large string arrangement to a smaller (and vice versa) with SYNCHRON camera strings, without the need to adjust and adjust your settings.
