Stunning revelations
SYNCHRON PERCUSSION II is the second part of the extremely detailed percussion sample recordings at Synchron Stage Vienna adds a new arsenal of fine instruments to the Synchron series. As in the first collection, the instruments were captured in the large "Stage A" of the scoring stage itself with the same multi-microphone setup that makes their pure sound extremely flexible.

Joints of the SYNCHRON PERCUSSION II
All instruments include unique strokes in many layers of speed, rollers and effect joints. For some instruments, the rollers are available in two variants: The "static" rollers are recorded without changing the dynamics and allow you to make a smooth transition through the speed layers from pianissimo to fortissimo. "Dynamic" rolls were recorded with their dynamic changes performed at various lengths. You can release the key at any time - individually adapted release samples will be triggered automatically.
The included MIDI loops for taikos and timpani make it easy to create dynamic rhythms. Just listen in advance in Synchron Player and drag them to your DAW.
SYNCHRON PERCUSSION II microphones
Each instrument was recorded with 12 microphones. You can select between four microphone positions (Standard Library) or seven different microphone positions (Full Library) and mix them to your liking, using the Vienna Synchron Player's full mixer.
Microphone positions of the complete library:
Close microphone - mono
Medium layer microphone - stereo (L/R)
Main/Ambient Microphone - Decca Tree Stereo (L/R)
Main/ambient microphone - Decca Tree Mono (center)
Main Surround - Stereo (L/R)
High Stereo (3D) - Stereo (L/R)
High Surround (3D) - Stereo (L/R)
The Standard Library includes positions 1-4.
SYNCHRON PERCUSSION II Mixer Presets
Each instrument comes with a variety of mixer presets that include traditional Decca Tree settings with variations such as Close, Classical, Wide, Distant, and Ambient, but also processed signals with algorithmic reverberation, compression, delays, and effects for "Low Boom," "Power Timps," "Far Away Echoes," and many more. "Surround to Stereo" powers the surround and high surround microphones to the stereo signal for richer, wider sound. Also included are "Surround" presets for 5.1 apps and 3D audio settings such as Auro 3D and Dolby Atmos.
A new feature of Synchron Player allows you to place each drum (when available, such as timpani, taiko drums, rototoms) in the stereo panorama. Instead of automatically putting the entire configuration, for example, the five eardrums, in their place on stage, you can use the new "Output Config" feature to direct each closed mic battery to its own channel.
