Its extraordinary orchestral sound is rich in expression and resonance with a warm tone, thanks to the huge resonance board and the nine additional sub-bass notes. The keyboard extension of the instrument is extended down to the low c - for a total extension of eight octaves.
Five Extraordinary Pianos
This pack includes five extraordinary pianos that were captured on Stage A and Stage B of Synchron Stage Vienna.
The Bosendorfer Concert Grand 290 Imperial represents the culmination of the precious heritage of the famous Austrian piano manufacturer. Its extraordinary orchestral sound is rich in expression and resonance with a warm tone, thanks to the huge resonance board and the nine additional sub-bass notes. The keyboard extension of the instrument is extended down to the low c - for a total extension of eight octaves.
Synchron Concert D-274 features a Steinway & Sons D-274, hamburg model that was recorded in the main hall (Stage A) of the Synchron Stage Vienna. With a length of 274 cm (almost 9 feet) and a weight of almost 500 kg (1,100 lb.), it is the flagship model of the world-renowned piano maker.
Especially when competing with orchestras, the D-274 impresses with its tremendous assertive sound volume and power - which is not surprising considering its nearly two-square-meter (21.5 sq.ft.) top. Over 4,000 samples per key and nearly 20,000 samples per microphone position provide an unprecedented level of authenticity, liveliness and feel!
Yamaha CFX features a hand-made grand piano that represents the pinnacle of the piano maker's tradition. It was captured on Stage A of Synchron Stage Vienna with up to 4,200 samples per key. The distinctive sound of the instrument can be characterized as precise, bright, clear, powerful and assertive, lending itself to any genre of classical, romantic or contemporary piano music and from solo pieces to chamber works and concerts. Yamaha's award-winning performance playback system "Disklavier ENSPIRE PRO" has ensured maximum accuracy, resolution and consistency throughout the recording process. You can select from six different presets ("Concert", "Intima", "Player", "Pop", "Environment", "Powerful"
The Blüthner 1895 is a particularly glorious example of the "golden tone" of the legendary German piano maker. The beautifully refurbished instrument is equipped with Blüthner's patented Aliquot system that uses additional resonant strings in the treble record, resulting in a lyrical, warm and rich sound with many tones. The instrument, recorded on Stage B of Synchron Stage Vienna, is extremely versatile and suitable for soloists looking for a slightly different personal piano sound. Blüthner adapts extremely well to song accompaniments and chamber music settings, as well as to pop songs and ballads where other concert grands sound very large and intrusive. Presets such as "Intimate" or "Vintage" further enhance this special quality.
The Bösendorfer Upright incorporates the experience of almost two centuries of grand piano making. Although physically a vertical piano, the instrument surprises with subtle nuances and a powerful bass, and still with a pure and primitive piano sound, without other tonal colors that are usually added by the large body of a large concert.
