What is TabletMark?

TabletMark-v3 is the first application-based cross-platform benchmark for touch-enabled devices. With support for Android, iOS, and Windows, TabletMark v3 provides meaningful, real-world views across a wide range of devices.

TabletMark-v3 features include:

All platforms require a screen size of 7" or larger.

Windows 8.1+ or 8.1 RT: 1.3 GHz dual core processor (AMD, ARM, or Intel) 2 GB system memory

iOS 7.1.2 or newer:

A6X processor or newer 1 GB system memory

Android 4.3 or newer: Dual core processor (ARM or Intel) 1 GB system memory (500 MB free memory)

all major tablet operating systems, including Android 4.3+, iOS 7.1.2+ and Windows 8.1. TabletMark provides manufacturers of commercial and government IT, media, channel buyers, consultants, consumers and designers and system and component manufacturers with an objective, easy-to-use tool for evaluating tablet battery performance and life across the wide range of activities a tablet user can find.

Unlike benchmarks that measure battery life only, TabletMark measures battery life and performance simultaneously, showing how well a system design addresses the inherent compromises between performance and power management.

Unlike synthetic benchmarks, which artificially boost components to peak capacity or try to deduce performance using a static simulation of application behavior, TabletMark-v3 measures the platform user experience, using the same APIs and platform services used by third-party application developers, real user workloads, and actual datasets to accurately measure how overall system performance affects  the real-world user experience
