What is Transana Basic?

Transana Basic is designed for researchers with video and audio data that needs accessible but powerful software to help them perform in-depth analysis. Analyze individual media files with one transcript at a time and produce a variety of useful reports. Transcription and time encoding are quick and easy with keyboard shortcuts.  Creating clips lets you crop, encode, categorize, and connect related media pieces. You can take research notes and write analytical memos directly to Transana. Transana is primarily aimed at beginning students and researchers who need to analyze direct media data.

Transana Basic supports international languages:

Support for data in most left-to-right languages with warnings in English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Norwegian Bokmal, Norwegian Ny-norsk, Swedish and Chinese - simplified

Support for data in some right-to-left languages with Arabic warnings (Windows only)
