uniGUI is a web application framework for Delphi. C++Builder development is also supported by RAD Studio owners. uniGUI presents a rich set of visual controls for developing web applications with state information. Development process that is very similar to the development of regular VCL applications. UniGUI Web applications can be easily run and refined directly in Delphi IDE, which makes the development process very easy and straightforward. uniGUI extends the web application development experience to a new dimension, and productivity is the main goal.
uniGUI allows the developer to focus on the business logic of the application rather than working on web application development details, such as working directly with HTML, JavaScript, XML templates, and other Web technologies. uniGUI will save many valuable hours of development, which in turn helps to greatly reduce project development, deployment, and support costs. This makes uniGUI a perfect tool for small development teams that have limited resources to spend on development details. uniGUI is also perfect for large teams that need to deliver enterprise-scale projects on a limited time scale.
Deployment is another important step in the web application development process. With uniGUI deployment it is very easy and simple. Developers can choose one of the options available for deployment, such as: Windows Service, Standalone Server, or ISAPI Module. ISAPI modules can be deployed using Microsoft IIS, Apache Web Server for Windows, or any other ISAPI-compliant Web server.
uniGUI uses the Sencha Ext JS and Sencha Touch libraries for client-side rendering. These libraries are considered one of the key market frameworks for building RIA applications. uniGUI combines the powers of Ext JS with Delphi's RAD capabilities, which is probably the fastest way to build RIA applications in Delphi. uniGUI encapsulates Ext JS classes within a special set of Delphi controls that allow developers to build feature-rich Web applications without the need to learn client-side scripts and work with client-side UI details so that valuable development time is spent in business logic , working on repetitive user interface design details that can be time-consuming and technically demanding tasks.
System Requirements
The Delphi versions supported are Turbo Delphi, Delphi 2006, Delphi 2007, Delphi 2009, Delphi 2010, Delphi XE-XE8, Delphi 10 Seattle, Delphi 10.1 Berlin and Delphi 10.2 Tokyo.
C++Builder is supported, but not tested with all versions.
uniGUI does not require any special hardware or operating system configuration. A typical uniGUI installation requires 100-150 MB of hard disk space.
Note 1: The requirements for the runtime environment can be very different and will be discussed in the implementation topic.
Note 2: To install uniGUI for C++ Builder, you need to have rad studio ide installed. Installing C++ Builder alone is not enough.
