The restore can be performed from any computer because all backup information is stored in the cartridge.

Uranium allows you to enable tape drive hardware compression or use its integrated "on-the-fly" compression with various compression methods/algorithms. What's more, you can encrypt your backups using the strongest encryption algorithm available at the moment: 256-bit AES.
