V-Collection icons have a realistic, three-dimensional style, with a high level of detail and a slightly muted color scheme. This style was originally introduced by Microsoft for Windows desktop icons and was used for desktop icons, UI element, and illustrations.

What you need to know about v-collection software icons

The V collection contains 2917 high-quality software icons in eight sizes, ranging from 16x16 to 512x512 pixels. Icons look elegant and modern, with an emphasis on 3D perspective uniformity and color tones to fit seamlessly into the Windows Vista and Windows 7 user interfaces.

There are 2917 high quality icons in the V collection, you can combine them to create more than 140,000 additional icons.

Sizes

Each icon comes in eight sizes. Icons are not simply resized; each size has been carefully adjusted to improve the level of detail. For those who use Microsoft Dynamics CRM, a download option for 66x48 pixels icons is also offered.

File types

We send the icons in PNG and ICO formats. PNG is the predominant image format supported by most platforms and applications. The ICO file format is an image file format used for icons in Microsoft Windows

Alpha Transparency

All PNG versions of the icons come with a transparent background. Using partial transparency allows icons to blend smoothly to any background color or pattern.

Shadows

For the larger version of each icon (32x32, 48x48, 64x64, 128x128, 256x256 and 512x512), you will receive two versions, one with shadow and one without. The shadow version should be used in most cases because it increases the three-dimensional impact of an icon. The shadowless version can be useful in cases where an icon is combined with other graphics where a shadow disturbs the appearance of the combined image.
