What is VUMA-LEV?

Many industrial work processes create harmful airborne pollutants (BPAs) that can cause occupational health-related diseases. A local exhaust ventilation system is an engineering control system that captures dust, vapors and fumes at its generation source and transports them away from the worker's breathing zone. This prevents workers from instilling these substances and reduces contamination of general workplace air.

VUMA-lev is an evaluation and/or design tool for LEV systems ensuring correct volume flows, distribution, transport speed. for lev duct system network. The software is a valuable resource for determining the impact on lev system performance if geometry or elements change. VUMAlev is a LEV network simulator based on the main VUMAnetwork simulator used for ventilation, cooling and environmental mine control, which has been continuously developed over many years.

VUMA-LEV ALLOWS YOU TO:

• Assess the performance of existing LEV systems
• Predict the impact on lev system performance due to system changes
• Model / design new LEV designs

VUMA-LEV REAL-TIME MONITORING

The VUMA-lev can be coupled to some strategic sensors and this results in real-time monitoring of the LEV system to ensure that it is operating according to design at any time. Alarms will be triggered if the project criteria are not met.
