What is WebSite-Watcher?

WebSite-Watcher is a powerful yet simple website monitoring tool that is perfectly suited for both beginners and advanced users. This software puts you in complete control over what is checked and even how you are notified.

Web pages

The WebSite-Watcher monitors all types of web pages and highlights all changes to the page.

PDF/ Word/Excel 

PDF/Word/Excel documents are automatically converted to HTML format, so you can use all available features to monitor those documents. For example, only alert an update if specified keywords are detected in PDF documents.

Facebook, Twitter, Instagram 

Facebook, Twitter and Instagram are automatically converted to RSS feeds, which makes it very easy to monitor these types of pages. You'll be notified as soon as new posts are published.

Password-protected pages

Logins to password-protected pages can be recorded with the built-in Verification Macro feature. These macros run when the WebSite-Watcher checks the bookmarks. This technique can also be used to automate search queries to monitor search results.

Feeds RSS 

RSS/Atom feeds can be monitored as normal web pages with all supported features.

Fabric capture method

Each page you can open in your Internet browser can be monitored with the screen capture method. The WebSite-Watcher will take screenshots of pages and compare them to detect updates.

Flexible scan intervals

You define when and how often markers should be checked. For example, every 5 minutes, once a day or every Monday at 9:00.

Take actions

Perform predefined actions when an update is detected. For example, to export the monitored page and process it later with your own system.

Keywords

Receive update notifications only when specified words are detected in new or changed content.

Entire site or single page

The tracking links feature allows you to monitor full sites instead of single pages. Linked pages will automatically be inserted as new bookmarks.

Filter contents

A powerful filtering system allows you to ignore content that doesn't interest you. The built-in Filter Wizard lets you easily create filters with just a few mouse clicks. The WebSite-Watcher supports simple wildcard filters and regular expressions.

Add logic with plugins

The logic of bookmark checks can be improved with the integrated Plugin system. For example, to monitor a page for a specific price and alert only an update if the price is within a certain price range. Plugins can be written with the basic integrated programming language.
