What is Wide Format Automation Suite?

Wide Format Automation Suite is OneVision's software solution for large and super large format printers. The combination of a workflow management system with an extensive prepress package and innovative technologies such as nesting or tiling & paneling automates the production processes of large-format and super-wide format printers.

The flexible workflow management system allows large-format printers to define their production processes individually, standardize them, and allow them to run fully automatically, while making adaptations at any time.

The built-in prepress package scans incoming print jobs for possible errors, corrects and normalizes them, and creates error-free (ISO-compliant) print files for smooth, error-free printing.

How it works

Workflow Manager: Easy integration using hot folders and/or MIS using job ticketing. Simple UI, where workflow processes can be created as needed - simple drag and drop. Real-time tracking of jobs. Assembly lines can be structured in individual phases to maintain a clear overview of the workflow.

Automatic prepress: Identifying files that interfere with production – costing money – is still a challenge. OneVision has all the relevant tools to identify any issues, to automatically repair typical errors, to manage the color of the files for the output profile you need, to reliably flatten transparencies, and also to normalize files.

Cutting Line Manager: Incoming jobs may use different names for their cutting lines and also some of them may be broken or incomplete. This package will fix these issues automatically. All names for cut lines are accepted.

Tiles and panels: File formats larger than the maximum print format can be placed on panels/panels and divided into various formats for production. Subject areas that should not be cropped (e.g. faces) can simply be swiped or removed using the PDF editor.

Nesting: The complete automated solution reduces waste to an absolute minimum. OneVision's technology automatically positions complex shapes while maximizing material usage and creates a separate PDF with only the cutting lines that can be used by the cutter.

Onyx Connection: Downstream printers can be addressed directly with optimized print files.
