What is Windows Text Clipboard Expander?

How many times have you used the copy command only to realize that there was something else on the clipboard and that is now gone. Or maybe you need to repeatedly paste more than one text into various locations in a document and you needed to create a bit of Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V choreography to get everything belongs. Despite the fact that Copy/Paste is probably one of the most commonly used functions on a computer, modern operating systems don't offer much to work with. Here's the productivity tool itself – a piece of software that greatly expands and enhances the Windows text clipboard.

Windows Text Clipboard Expander adds several text clipboards to Windows:

Two artboards swappable for hotkeys

Instead of having just one basic text clipboard of input and output, you can now have two and switch between them with a hotkey. Based on the (totally legitimate) exercise research, we realized that just two text artboards improves productivity more than twofold!

Cumulative Text Clipboard

Each copy command will be added to the previous text with a range of options for the delimiter. This is a great way to create a table, CSV text file for excel, sequence variable, or row-by-line collection of links using just the Ctrl+C command.

Story clipboard

This clipboard remembers all of your copy operations and beyond the obvious you can remember. If you copied a lot of operations ago, you can do some advanced tricks. For example, arrange the items in the history and paste them in sequence using a hotkey.

Clippings - a permanent clipboard with categorization and encryption

If there's text you use often, such as your address, email disclaimer, instructions for clients, Clippings is the definitive place to go. For sensitive information, such as credit card number clippings, it offers strong password encryption.

Edit inside the clipboard

One of the many cool features is that you can directly edit text that's already on the clipboard from the Windows Text Clipboard Expander interface. Then just press the Send to Clipboard button!

No Creep Feature

The default Windows clipboard is very simple to use, and we wanted to keep it that way with the Expanded version as well. We've taken great care to make the interface clean, easy to use, and to avoid unnecessary features that plague similar tools.
