What is WinEdt 10?

WinEdt is a powerful and versatile all-purpose Text Editor of Windows, with a strong predisposition to the creation and compilation of LaTeX documents.

WinEdt is used as an Integrated Development Environment for compilers and composition systems such as TeX, HTML, or NSIS.

Although reasonably suited as an all-purpose text editor, WinEdt has been specifically designed and configured to seamlessly integrate with a TeX system (such as MiKTeX or TeX Live). However, winedt documentation does not cover TeX-related topics in depth; you'll find presentations and manuals on typographic composition with TeX, as well as links to other recommended accessories, on the TeX Community Website (TUG).

WinEdt is now the official version of the program.

It supports autofill (customizable) and code folding, is unicode/utf8 compatible and integrates seamlessly with the latest TeX accessories and systems (such as the SumatraPDF, MiKTeX and TeX Live viewer). It has been widely tested on Windows 10, 8 and 7 (32-bit and 64-bit) with different system dpi settings.

In addition, WinEdt recognizes dpi at the system level: it comes with high-quality graphics capabilities in different sizes, and at startup automatically adjusts your GUI to high-resolution screens (no graphics and text stretched or blurry)

Uses the powerful Uniscribe library to better handle Unicode and complex language processing (including support for two-way text). It also contains an improved integration with the latest versions of MiKTeX.
