What is Wordfast Pro?

It presents an open and transparent format for all your data, but maintains direct support for Trados 2, 3 and 5 (memory exchange, MultiTerm glossaries, same segmentation), TMX, and IBM Translation Manager translation memories. You can translate Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and also tag-ready files. Wordfast connects to machine translation packages like PowerTranslator, Systran, Reverso.

Although essentially a tool for the translator, it easily integrates with the flow of translation agencies and large clients. All this power is contained in a single compact Word template; data can be shared over a local area network (LAN) or on the web.

The software works without being registered with translation memories up to 110 Kbytes and/or 500 translation units (TU). Logging removes this limitation.

Wordfast supports all older translation environments (Trados, IBM Translation Manager, SDLX, Transit, either through the TMX format or directly, at the native format level). It supports translation-ready files with widely used tools, such as the Trados (S-tagger) or RWS (Rainbow) filter set. It is also supported at the translated document level (segmented, bilingual), with Trados: a document translated with Wordfast can be cleaned with Trados and vice versa.
