Components
Xfrog components make it easy to build plants, organic shapes, or abstract objects. All Xfrog components are animated by varying their parameters: Growth, number of branches, force of attraction, gravitropism or phototropism, and each parameter of each Xfrog component is animating! With this flexibility, Xfrog animates things like blossoming flowers or trees growing from adult seeds.
What are XfrogPlants?
There are 3,000 plants available for download instantly in 15 popular 3D formats. Through the scan of bark, leaves and flowers that are applied as textures in obtaining the highest photographic realism.
The advantage of "hand- and-hand" modeling is that XfrogPlants plants adher to the underlying botanical rules, using the botanical expertise of the modelers for each model. They do not climb a tree "child" for young, or young to adult - they build from scratch each age and season using photo references and real sweeps of real leaves and bark. All variations of 3D models are constructed from scratch. The 3 ages give enough bandwidth for instantiation, scale and spin in creating a decent ecosystem, and the newer 9 variation libraries are built specifically offering fairly high ecosystem realism.
