What is Zextras Suite Team?

Zentras Suite Team adds full collaboration features to Zimbra and is available in two versions: Team Pro and Team Basic.

Zentras Suite Team is a platform that includes video conferencing and makes Zimbra a true enterprise-grade platform with virtual chat rooms, Spaces and instant messaging.

The audio and video transmission is based on the WebRTC protocol supported by the browser itself and there is no need for additional special software. Team integrates seamlessly with Zimbra webmail and supports push notifications from the browser itself.

A sidebar in webmail allows you to access recent conversations, while an extended interface allows you to create groups, create a new conversation, a Space or a Channel.

In Zentras Suite Team the Spaces are virtual chat rooms where all connected users can exchange messages, make video calls and share their screen.

The administrator can define the users he wants to join a Space and establish permanent environments. You can create desktops and organize them into channels where people exchange information or share Drive documents.

A channel can be used for daily conversations or for special projects. Each Channel is associated with its own Space, and it is also possible to establish a meeting that includes all participants.

Team is natively supported by Zextras Backup, with which it is possible to consult the conversations later. The Team mobile app, developed by Zextras, works on Android and iOS and offers the same experience, keeping users connected on the go. This same technology is what allows Team to offer collaboration outside the workplace.

An Instant Meeting allows you to make video calls with users who do not belong to the same Zimbra infrastructure. Invited contacts can be part of the meeting by accessing a source-generated link without installing anything on their PCs. Unlike Spaces, Instant Meeting content doesn't take up space and isn't saved. At the end of the call, the generated URL is no longer valid. The advanced features of Team Pro are only available for the Zextras Suite Pro license.
