Food Database
It contains nutritional data in more than 3,000 foods, with data derived from published information on food for humans, pets and wild. Ingredients are organized alphabetically by common English name in Feed Logical Categories. The database contains scientific (Latin) names, where applicable, and allows customization of any ingredient name in any language. Prices can also be added to standard feed units for quick budget calculations. New/unique feeds can be added and/or edited without overwriting existing data. The display of nutritional data on the screen can be customized according to your needs.
Energy Calculator
Estimated daily calories or joule requirements of a variety of mammals, birds, and reptiles easily calculated by standardized equations, based on body weights, eating habits, activity levels, and/or physiological state.
Nutrient Recommendations Database
Published requirements for wild/domestic animals and species of different productive states or physiological stages are available for evaluation/diet goals.
Diet Records
By combining information from the Feed Database, you are able to create diets and record feeding times/preparation details. Blends (combined green salads, fruits or seed combinations) can be saved separately for use as a single "ingredient" in complex diets. The nutritional information associated with the Ingredients allows you to easily review the nutritional data of the diets and quickly see the effects of changing amounts or ingredients. Using the Energy Calculator and Recommendation Modules, you can assess the suitability of a diet in relation to animal needs.
Comparisons
Using the comparison module, the composition of various foods and/or foods or diet (up to 6) can be compared simultaneously to the nutrient needs of the animals in a spreadsheet format.
Food Groups
There are tools to scale diet preparation, bulk ingredient ordering and available delivery linking basal diets with animal inventory, location and surrounding details.
Body Condition/Animal Assessment
Standardized information to assess the physical and physiological condition of the animal is included as measures to respond to dietary management.
Reference library
Consultation forms, research and evaluation examples are available for download, along with information on nutritional toxicity, stability, feed handling/storage, calculation of energy needs, enrichment and source of all material provided.
