AnyDesk Software GmbH is the German company behind AnyDesk, the remote access and remote support software used by IT teams to control computers, servers and mobile devices a distance. Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany, it is a privately held company backed by EQT Ventures in 2018, Insight Partners in 2019 and General Atlantic, which led its Series C round in 2021.

The technology rests on two proprietary components: the DeskRT video codec, which transmits only the screen regions that changed and therefore keeps sessions fluid over low-bandwidth links, and a routing network written in Erlang, a language chosen for fault tolerance and parallelism. The client takes up a few megabytes, runs without mandatory installation and ships as native builds for Windows, Windows Server, macOS, Linux distributions, Android, iOS, ChromeOS and Raspberry Pi.

AnyDesk's product lines are:

• AnyDesk Advanced — the corporate license for support teams, with Custom Client Generator, Session Recording, Group Policies and REST API.
• AnyDesk Ultimate — the license for larger operations, adding Namespace, Single Sign-On over SAML, role-based Address Book and integrations with Salesforce and Freshworks.
• AnyDesk On-Premises — the self-hosted edition, where the routing server runs on a Linux appliance with a PostgreSQL database inside the customer infrastructure, forming a network isolated AnyDesk's public network.
• Licensing add-ons — additional concurrent connections, extra managed device blocks, Address Book and Remote Worker, contracted according to how the environment is sized.

On security and compliance, AnyDesk states that its operations rely on data centers certified to ISO/IEC 27001, a SOC 2 Type II report and adherence to GDPR and the NIS 2 directive. Sessions travel with 256-bit AES encryption and perfect forward secrecy, and the On-Premises edition uses 4096-bit RSA key exchange. Governance controls include Two-Factor Authentication, Access Control List, permission profiles and a session trail tied to named users.
